There has been an old assumption that men are always attracted to big butts. According to the recent reports by the Daily Mail, it is not the butt that men are attracted to but the spine curvature.
Psychology researchers at Turkey's Bilkent University provided 300 men with pictures of women's silhouettes with different degrees of spine curvature. After some time, these men were then asked to pick the picture of the women they found was most and the least attractive.
According to the results, the men were partial to a 45.5 degree of spine curvature because that made their butt look bigger. However, the first results were not sufficient.
The researchers then showed the men three different pictures of women with butts that were equally large, but for different reasons. Some butts were large because of excess muscle and excess fat, while otehrs were due to the spine curvature.
Surprisingly, the men considered the woman with a big butt due to spine curvature as the most attractive.
This concluded that men are not actually attracted to the size of the rear end, but to the spine curvature of a woman.
Dr. David Lewis said, "Men who think they like big bottoms may actually be more into spines. Men may be directing their attention to the butt and obtaining information about women's spines, even if they are unaware that that is what their minds are doing."
Isn't this surprising that your mind captures some information without you even knowing it?
It is considered that men have always found a specific degree of spinal curvature attractive for centuries because it has an effect on the woman's ability to find food and bear children. According to Dr. Lewis, a 45 degree curve allowed women to search for food later into their pregnancies and continue to have children without injuring their backs.
Women without this curvature have a hard time moving while they are pregnant. It is also considered that the spine with that curvature would increase the pressure on their hips by almost 800 percent.
This means that men love women with big butts because they are always subconsciously associated with having increased activity during pregnancy, which, in other words means an ideal biological partner.
