As Samsung has recently launched its flagship device, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 is said to be one of the most anticipated smartphones this year as well. However, as there is no announcement yet from the Cupertino-based company, leaks rampant on the web revealed what is in store for Apple enthusiasts.
According to 9to5 Mac, the case leaked of the iPhone 8 confirmed the device’s vertically aligned dual-camera array. The dual camera feature expected by Apple enthusiasts is that it would support new augmented reality features. The device was then compared to be smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus.
With that said, the iPhone 8 is speculated to sport a bezel-less front design and have a screen size comparable to that of the iPhone 7. The iPhone 8 case was then described to have dimensions of 144mm x 71mm x 7.7mm. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 measures 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm which is smaller compared to the iPhone 7 Plus is 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm.
Regarding the leaked specs of the iPhone 8, it was revealed to have a 5.8” OLED screen alongside the Curved glass casing. The device is also said to have a 5-inch model and a 5.8 inch as well. Some rumors say that the device will feature a whole bezel-less screen to cater consumers who want bigger screens. Meanwhile, some say that the iPhone 8 could possibly not have a home button engraved into it but some show that the fingerprint button would be moved at the back of the device.
The Inquirer then reported that the iPhone 8 would be released alongside the awaited iPhone 7S and 7S Plus. However, the iPhone 8 is foreseen to have a limited quantity only and would be available not until the fourth quarter. Timothy Arcuri, an analyst at Cowen and Company then noted that the possible delay would be due to issues with its Touch ID sensor.
Other rumored specs of the iPhone 8 aside from the new vertical dual lens camera were said to be its Wireless charging support feature and Face-scanning technology. The iPhone 8 is then revealed to be powered by the latest Apple A11 chip processor and would run the updated iOS 11 with 'advanced Siri functionality. The price was speculated to cost around $1,000.
