Nokia is reportedly working on an entry-level smartphone which is dubbed as Nokia 2. The same rumored smartphone has now appeared on the popular benchmarking site, Geekbench hinting about the phone's specification and the imminent release.
The Geekbench listing reveals a code name 'Unknown Heart' that could be the Nokia 2. According to the listing, the Nokia has scored 422 in single-core test and 1146 in a multi-score test. The scores hint that the device will not be a powerhouse and it is meant to be an entry-level device, as reported by Playful Droid.
According to the leaks, Nokia 2 will be having 1GB RAM and it will be powered by Snapdragon 212. The GeekBench listing reveals that Nokia 2 will be having a quad-core processor clocked at 1.27 GHz and it will be running on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box.
Based on the benchmark test, it looks that HMD Global is preparing the company's most affordable Android smartphone. The Finnish company has so far released three smartphones: Nokia 6, 5, and 3. Out of the three devices, Nokia 3 is an entry-level phone which can be purchased via offline retail channels for Rs 9,499, as reported by Indian Express.
However, this isn't the first time that the news about HMD Global is working on an entry-level Android smartphone, is coming out. Earlier this month, an alleged hand-made sketch of Nokia 2 was also leaked showing off the front-side of the device. According to the leak, the phone's design will share an uncanny resemblance with Nokia Lumia 620.
There is no launch date set for Nokia 2, but, the company is planning to introduce the Nokia 8 on August 16. HMD Global has recently started sending invites for the same. Based on the reports, the launch of the Nokia 8 will take place in London.
