Because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected the world for a couple of months now, social distancing may have gotten to most people, and April Fool's Day may seem like an ideal inspiration to pull the funniest and best joke for all seasons on your loved ones and social media contacts.
More who, while there is and, while there is a "clear plot point" in the worldwide history presently describing to pull from, pretending you have COVID-19 just for the sake of the so-called "April Fools' prank," is not cool and definitely should not be considered a joke, be it your best, or not.
One of the main reasons why you should never include having COVID-19 as your best prank this April Fools' Day is that this pandemic has affected 785,715 people worldwide and the number increases every so often. This is undeniably a serious problem the world leaders are currently facing.
According to the Johns Hopkins University, COVID-19 is now being added to the list of things people should not joke about, along with sexuality, mental health, and pregnancy. This infectious disease which started in Wuhan, China late last year, as mentioned, has already infected more than 780,000 people all over the world as of this writing, just a day before the 2020 April Fools' Day.

Pleads from People on Twitter
COVID-19 has killed 37,814 people globally as of this writing, some of whom may even be from your hometown, and this is another reason enough, the second perhaps, why it should not be considered a joke, or even just a part of it.
A lot of people, particularly the Twitter users, feel and believe the same way that they appealed to the public online, to be "kind and considerate enough with their April Fools' Day pranks this 2020. A lot of people have already expected COVID-19 would be the common joke online particularly on social media sites, Facebook and Twitter, and they are shaking their heads, opposing to the idea
A Twitter user, @loved0llie, posted that as April Fools' Day approaches, "PLEASE don't joke about these things," referring to COVID-19, adding, such a topic is not funny along with the other topics like pregnancy, suicide, and cheating, among others.
Meanwhile, @yashar tweeted, he knows others have already said it but making it clear that "April Fools is canceled this year" because of concerns about COVID-19. Even brands are requested not to take advantage of the current COVID-19 situation. In his article on Mashable SE Asia, Tim Marcin said, April Fools' Day is almost here and typically, this would mean, "most brands pulling their usual 'fun' pranks." And to those brands,
Marcin pleaded, "Please, not this year." Over three million Americans turned jobless last week due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, these brands that would usually do the "pranks" have also laid employees off and everyone is now scared about it.
