Fans of the Terminator series don't have to wait for too long before they can watch its next sequel. The fifth Terminator movie, Terminator Genisys, is scheduled for release on July 1, 2015. This will be Arnold Schwarzenegger's 1stTerminator movie after leaving the Governor's office in 2011. As predicted, Arnold is cast as the Terminator, Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as John Connor and Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese.

The story begins in 2029 when John Connor is leading mankind to fight against the Skynet machine invasion. Skynet sees its defeat and comes up with an idea to send its model T-1000 and the new T-800 terminators to travel back to the past to prevent the birth of John Connor by assassinating his 9-year-old mother, Sarah Connor. John also sends T-101 to travel back in time to save his mother's life to ensure his own existence. Later on he sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese to help T-101 and for another reason. John knows that Kyle is his own father. Kyle has to go back in time, otherwise John would not exist.

The 9-year old Sarah's parents are killed by a terminator sent by Skynet in its efforts to kill her to prevent her from having a child who in the future time would lead humanity to fight and defeat it. Sarah's life is saved by T-101, sent by Jon from the future. Since then, she is trained by the terminator to fight the 2 terminators who had killed her parents.

After arriving at the past, together with Sarah and T-101, Kyle tries his best to prevent Sarah's death. Kyle and Sarah eventually fall in love and Sarah gets pregnant from the relationship. The two terminators are destroyed. Kyle is also killed in the end.

If we look closely to the previous terminator films, it's all about the future war between humanity, led by John Connor and destructive machines led by Skynet where humans are destined to win over the machines and where along its way (the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sequels) both sides are involved in time travelling trying to kill and save someone's past in order to wipe out the existence of a key human leader. Although it's what terminator 1-5 are all about, each sequel surely presents a different plot that someone is always curious about how the next sequel is like.
