Gamestop, the world's largest video game retailer that operates over 6500 stores across the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, has announced a Sony PlayStation TV giveaway. It's giving a rare promotion deal for their prospective customers. By purchasing a new Playstation 4 at Gamestop, you will get:
1. $80 Playstation TV microconsole, which is the first portable mini console that needs an HDMI compatible TV set to operate.
2. $50 Playstation Plus 12-month membership with which you can have the privilege to access electrifying online multiplayer games
3. A $50 worth digital copy of "The Last of Us Remastered," an action-adventure survival horror video game
The bundle is priced at $449.98. The normal price to buy all of them without the deal would be around $580, as the console itself costs around $400.
Coming to the PS TV, it's no bigger than a stack of cards that you can easily put it in your pocket and carry it wherever you go conveniently. Almost all Playstation games can be downloaded into the mini game machine.
More about it, although the mini console gained some popularity in Japan for a while in 2013 after its release, it hasn't sold well in the US market for some reasons since it was first launched there in October 2014. Perhaps that's the reason why the PS TV price was reduced from $100 to $80 earlier this year in the US.
The retailers see this as an opportunity to make a PS4 promotion program to boost sales amid the annual post-holiday sales slump and to empty the overstock.
With the addition of a free PS TV, perhaps this is the best season for you to buy Playstation 4. Hurry up and buy the PS4 before the promotion ends, as the deal will not last forever. If you wait for another month, you will most likely miss it.
