Doctors have strongly urged people to avoid the latest TikTok challenge, "Sleepy Chicken," since it is harmful to one's health.
This new fad involves creating their own chicken meal cooked in a cold and flu cure.
News.com.au said a medicine like Benadryl would be the equal of NyQuil.
Doctors extremely advise against braising chicken - or anything else - in a cold and flu cure solution.
TikTok Sleepy Chicken Challenge is Dangerous!
The new TikTok Sleepy Chicken trend, according to HITC's recent assessment, is highly worrying. Doctors and other medical professionals voiced their opinions on the new challenge.
Dr. Jeff Foster, one of the founders of the national medical corporation H3 Health, told The Sun how saturating any food product with medicine "can deliver" some new health advantage or cure. However, he stressed that the situation is highly risky.
He went on to say that TikTok users are presently misusing Nyquil since they are not adhering to the appropriate dosages. The doctor went on to say that correct pharmaceutical dosages exist for a purpose.
Foster also said that the medicine's water and alcohol will evaporate fast if a person uses Nyquil to marinate chicken and then cook it. When this happens, the concentrated chemicals in the drug will coat the flesh.
Dr. Aaron Hartman, a family care physician and assistant clinical professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, has also spoken out against the practice.

When a person boils out the water and alcohol in the meal and cooks cough medication like NyQuil, he continued, the chicken becomes saturated with a super-concentrated level of pharmaceuticals in the meat.
If a person ate one of those totally cooked cutlets, Hartman told MIC.com (via New Zealand Herald) that would be equivalent to swallowing a quarter to half a bottle of NyQuil.
People appear to cook the chicken with the flu treatment for barely five minutes in some TikTok videos before declaring it "ready to eat."
Hartman said the trend is also a formula for food illness.
Another significant concern, according to him, is that you are inhaling and swallowing the drug. He added that if a person soaks and cooks medicine with food, they may overdose or have no clue what amount they are taking.
By taking more than one should, one risks severe liver toxicity, as well as dizziness, vomiting, seizures, and death, according to Hartman. A person may also get a super-concentrated dosage by boiling the meal because they eliminate the water and any other liquid in there that offers a high dosage.
