The travel time of trains is supposed to follow the exact schedule promoted by the transportation providers. But every day, there are delays recorded in every station around the globe.
Train delays could go from minutes to hours, and it inflicts a disorder to most of the people's itinerary they already planned. As a result, the production of numerous businesses suffers.
Infinity Train Solution to Problems of Railroad Travels
Train travel is supposed to be the best land transportation choice for the mass majority. But because of the unwanted hold-ups due to many factors, appointments are missed, and agendas are not being met.
One reason for the ongoing train travel conundrum is the constant maintenance of the railway vehicles. The most common route followed by most railway operators includes a stop for refueling and recharging the trams.
Railroad cars could perfect their travel schedules if not for these painstaking and time-consuming upkeeps.
In a new technological innovation, scientists are attempting to solve this problem. The experts aim to construct an 'Infinity Train,' which requires a whopping budget of $50 million.
The Infinity Train, according to the concept, can run through the force of gravity. The modern-day train is expected to launch in selected railways less than ten years from today.
The Infinity Train will be powered by an electric battery that will not require numerous stops for recharge. In addition, it will not use the conventional charging infrastructures that we see today, as it will collect its power from the gravitational energy available at the downhill sections of the train tracks.

Frictions that will accumulate while putting the train's speed at brake were developed to harness electricity lost during its runtime. In hypothesis, this approach could let passengers and goods be transported over long distances without having the railroad car stop.
Fortescue's Snowpiercer-Like Green Transporation Alternative
The idea is similar to the post-apocalyptic SciFi novel 'Snowpiercer,' in which the train moves infinitely through the tracks laid around the ice-covered Earth.
The Australian engineering firm Fortescue Future Industries explained that they are taking part in eliminating the diesel-powered trains from the industry. The Infinity Train would be developed similar to the systems used in today's advanced electric cars.
Before announcing their plan, Fortescue acquired the UK-based battery provider Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE).
Both engineering firms will collaborate to materialize the dream of an infinity train, which will be based on green energy for sustainable transportation. Among their top goals is to help the railway industry cut off a massive amount of carbon emissions that older engines blast into the atmosphere by the end of 2030.
According to a report by DailyMail, present-day train engines consume 82 million liters of diesel every year.
Fortescue's founder and chairman Andrew Forrest explained that Fortescue aims to pioneer the normalization of green industrial transport on the global market by completing its mission by the decade.
