The existence of an Apple Car, also referred to as Project Titan, has been the subject of speculation and rumors since 2015. It is believed that the tech giant is working on a car, possibly in collaboration with Hyundai/Kia, with a limited release set for 2024, although a 2026 launch may be more likely.
A 3D visualizer has created a render of the Apple Car based on what is known about the project, which features a minimalist and industrial design reminiscent of Apple's aesthetic. The Apple Car will likely be positioned as a premium vehicle, similar to the company's other products such as the iPhone and iPad.
Apple in EV Industry
The cost of the car is not yet known, but it is expected to be comparable to luxury electric cars like the Tesla Model S or Lucid Air. However, the integration of the car with the Apple ecosystem, such as seamless handovers from a phone and the use of Apple's infotainment system, may make it worth the cost. The Apple Car is expected to be a game changer in the industry.
At one point, there were rumors that Apple would collaborate with BMW to develop the iCar, potentially using the BMW i3 as a base. However, those rumors did not come to fruition. More recently, it has been reported that Apple is in talks with Hyundai and possibly Kia to produce the iCar, known as Project Titan.
This has led to renderings like the one created by HotCars, which incorporates design elements from electric cars such as the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 6, and Lucid Air for a futuristic yet realistic depiction of what the Apple iCar could look like. The design of this Apple Car concept features wheels pushed to the corners to maximize cabin space, as well as a shooting brake-style panoramic glass roof that also serves as a spoiler.

Tesla vs Apple
The front and rear of the car have a mirrored design, with a symmetrical look overall, similar to how Apple designs its products. The unique glasshouse design is the main point of differentiation between the front and rear, similar to the notch on an iPhone. The car will likely be available in signature Apple colors such as Silver, Space Gray, and Rose Gold. The prices for the Apple Car are currently unknown, but it's speculated that the car may be offered in a 3 model lineup, such as Apple Car, Apple Car Plus, and Apple Car Pro Max.
Hotcars believes that the car will have a limited release in 2024 or 2026 and will be a premium electric vehicle, similar to Tesla models. Concept designs of the iCar suggest that it will have a minimalist, industrial design and that it will likely integrate seamlessly with other Apple products, such as the iPhone and iPad, through Apple's infotainment system and CarPlay platform.
The car will likely have semi-autonomous driving capabilities, advanced driver assistance systems, and large screens for instrumentation and infotainment. It's expected that the car will be fully integrated with Apple services like Apple Music, Podcasts, and Maps and that it will be controlled by the virtual assistant Siri.
