A woman from Colorado finally got her dream home. However, it came with several unwelcome guests - snakes!
Woman Purchased Snake-Infested Home
Amber Hall, 42, dreamed of having her own home. Finally, she could buy one, but upon moving in, she discovered several snakes had existed before them.
Hall said she discovered the property was infested with snakes when unpacking. One of her dogs crouched down and walked down in one corner slowly. So, she was wondering what her pet saw.
Hall told FOX 31 she thought it was a spider, so she came over, and when she did, she saw snakes slithering up the wall. She watched them and was petrified after seeing that there were not just one or two but more snakes in her home.
Hall is a single mom; according to her, she worked her whole life to purchase the home. She also discovered snakes inside and underneath their residence, some burrowing within the draw wall and under the patio.
She sought professional help and spent over $1,000 to eliminate the serpents. They also used traps and hired a snake wrangler to capture and dispose of the reptiles.
Hall said she wanted somebody to take responsibility, but the real estate agent who facilitated the sale was not cooperative. She admitted that she wasn't sure if she could live in her home peacefully after realizing it was infested with snakes.
Hall said she wouldn't unpack her belongings and commit to moving to her new place until the issue was resolved.

Signs of Snake Infestation
What happened to Hall was frustrating, especially when one was already very excited to move into their new home. Accurate Pest Control shared some tips to know if a property is snake infested. In this way, homebuyers will see if they should go with the purchase or look for a new property.
It is the shedding of skin. Finding a dry, scaly sheet of a snake's skin in the house, whether in the entrance hall or small space areas, indicates that a snake is just around the property. So, watch for shredded skin in the home's corners, small spaces, and walls.
Slither tracks. Look for slither tracks in the dusty area in the backyard or a small crawl place. Its presence could indicate that the snake must have visited the place.
Strange smell. Snakes have a distinct, noticeable smell. If there's a strange scent in some areas of the home, you should investigate it for the possibility that a snake might have inhabited the area.
Unexpected noise. Snakes make strange noises of hisses. If you hear such sound from a dark and cramped area, in the ceiling or walls, then call a professional to check the home.
According to the Humane Society, snakes may have ended up in the place accidentally, for instance, by being washed in by flood waters. However, they could also purposely enter the place to find prey or shelter.
