The rising midrange game changer smartphone company OnePlus One announced that their product OnePlus X will be available for grabs in the United States and Canada but with an invite. The OnePlus One was one of the companies that only sells its products online with a limited number of stocks.
In the case of the western parts of the world, only 10,000 units will be available for purchase. This marketing strategy was also applied by the Chinese company Xiaomi with their line of devices to ensure and give a definitive label into their products.
The recently announced OnePlus X supports an AMOLED 5-inch screen protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with a pixel density of 441 ppi and the device runs in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop layered with their company owned Oxygen OS User interface in order to give the user a different feel in navigating the gadget. It features a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 and a quadcore CPU that is capable of giving the user a fluid-like experience.
The OnePlus X is also equipped with a 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, which is expandable via micro SD. It has a 13 megapixel rear shooter, capable of phase detection autofocus and 1080p recording and a front camera of 8 megapixels. However, the device is only powered by a 2525 mAh battery, which is a descent capacity. But judging from the presence of hungry power app these days, this kind of capacity won't last a day.
The company also offered an extended warranty to valued customers in the U.S. and Canada. This means that the buyer of the device can enjoy a warranty extension and assurance of Extended Service coverage and accidental damage from handling after paying some fees.
The company can automatically exchange the device whenever it has issues or being mishandled within the given period of warranty. The service center that will distribute at the same time foresees the customer service in the U.S. and Canada is the OnePlus One partner Assurant Solutions. The OnePlus X is priced at USD $249.
