The newest console from Nintendo, the Nintendo Switch is set to be released on March 3. What makes it unique is that it is a hybrid console, which means you can play it in the comfort of your own home, or take it with you wherever you go. Here are other things that you should know about the console.
Business Insider reports that the price of the Nintendo Switch starts at $299 dollars. For that price, the consumer will get the tablet, Joy-Con controllers, Joy-Con dock, two wrist straps, the Switch dock so you can connect it to the television, and two cables, one for power and the HDMI cable. There are also bundles that have the blue and red Jon-Con, or buyers can just go for the ones with two gray controllers. All the items in the package can also be bought separately, should the players want extras.
Now, Gamespot reports there are three ways that the Nintendo Switch can be played. First is the TV Mode, players just need to put the Switch into the docking station so that it will be played on the television. For a more traditional experience, the Joy-Con can be attached to a grip accessory, but it can also be played wirelessly.
Second is the Tabletop Mode. The Switch has a built-in kickstand. Users can then detach the controllers and enjoy playing the game wherever they are. The last mode is the Handheld Mode. Just eject the Switch from the docking station and attach the Joy-Con at the side of the tablet.
Speaking of the controllers, each one is equipped with a full set of buttons and has a feature called the HD Rumble. This will allow the controllers to simulate different types of vibrations.
Some of the games for the Nintendo Switch include "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "I Am Setsuna," and "Just Dance 2017." "Super Mario Odyssey" will be released during the holiday season this year.
