ZTE has launched a mid-range smartphone called Nubia Z17 Mini. The phone is reportedly endorsed by Real Madrid Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The new smartphone offers a dual-lens camera is reportedly targeting developing markets.
The Nubia Z17 Mini is an all-metal smartphone that comes with a resolution of 1080p on a 5.2-inch display. To secure the display panel, ZTE has implemented a Shatterproof panel on top of it. Reports suggest that the Z17 Mini at least, for now, is restricted to China for some more time.
More details from Digital Trends reveal its hardware specifications. The Nubia Z17 Mini smartphone has a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor alongside an Adreno 510 GPU chip. Currently, the phone is available in two choices with different memory and storage capacities. One with a 4GB RAM/64GB storage while the other variant sees an increase in both storage and memory with 6GB RAM/128GB storage and also a Snapdragon 653 for a change.
The Nubia Z17 Mini is expected to be sold on Apr. 13 with a price of RM1699 ($250 approximately). The following details were reported by BGR also reveals the camera specifications which include a front-facing 16MP camera featuring a wide-angle lens.
The Nubia Z17 Mini comes with an arguably decent battery of 2950mAh that also sports a USB Type-C connector. Out of the box, it's expected to run on the latest version of Android's Nougat OS v7.1 with a Nubia UI skin on top of it.
With that said, the Nubia Z17 Mini also features a rear-facing 23MP sensor that is based on a dual-lens technology with both having the ability to capture low light pictures thanks to a f/2.2 aperture sporting two Sony IMX258 sensors and also comes with a dual-LED flash. Overall, for its asking price, the new smartphone must make it into the list of good budget smartphones.
