Two high-end Intel processors and an 8th gen Core are rumored for an early launch. The three CPUs will compete with AMD Ryzen.
The Intel Skylake-X and Kaby Lake -X are two of the next high-end desktop or HEDT processors from Intel that is reportedly be launched at the end of May. While Intel's 8th Generation Core series processor, the "Coffee Lake" is rumored for a possible launch in August, Gadgets 360 reported.
Because Intel is facing the pressure after AMD launched its Ryzen 5 series processors, the company is reportedly keeping it up to launch its processors as early as possible. With this, Intel will be forced to launch its high-end desktop processors the Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X in May, and the Coffee Lake will be in August rather than January.
According to ExtremeTech, both the Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X processors are based on the Basin Falls platform which is supposedly having the codename of X299 chipset. The Skylake-X is claimed to be a normal CPU update that is expected to be available in three different cores such as 6,8, and 10. Additionally, the Kaby Lake-X exact features are still unclear, but rumors define the processor with four-core CPU that has integrated graphics capable of running on the X299 platform.
Furthermore, it's a save the best for last for Intel on its Coffee Lake processor that is said to be released in August rather than in January 2018. The Coffee Lake is a refinement of Intel 14nm+ process that is expected to bring marginal performance improvements. It is also expected that the Intel Coffee Lake will have a 4.4GHz base clock, 4.7GHz Turbo with more cores than the company's six-core.
It seems for the good point that Intel is doing some moves after the launching of the AMD Ryzen 5 which will surely give Intel a stiff competition in the market. But, AMD is said to make another move as it's reportedly working on another high-end Ryzen CPUs with 16 cores. Possibly, after the release of the Skylake-X, Kaby Lake-X, and Coffee Lake, Intel will work on another better processor to compete with AMD and keep their title.
