It is true that Dodge Challenger SRT Demon would simply be a beast on the road when it launches. But Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) seems to take its rival seriously, as it has unveiled the Hennessey Exorcist Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 which seems to be overloaded with power that is enough to thrill down Dodge's upcoming giant. Recently, HPE's dyno run showcased Exorcist Camaro ZL1's spontaneous performance.
According to Motor Trend, Hennessey Performance recently uploaded a clip of the performance trail of the Exorcist Camaro ZL1. The car seemed to be victorious over the majority of its competitors with its performance strike. HPE already mentioned on its official documentation of Exorcist Camaro ZL1 that it would sport 1,000 horsepower at the crankshaft. As per the video, the car will run at 959.32 hp and 756.29 lb-ft of torque output. Although this is not about its front wheel base, it is actually on its rear wheels. Dodge Challenger SRT Demon flaunts 840 hp alongside 770 lb-ft of torque capacity, available on race gas.
As per a report by Motor Authority, HPE has also equipped Exorcist Camaro ZL1 with some extraordinary range of specs like a larger supercharger, upgraded intercooler, ported heads, long tube headers, an improved intake system, an improved ECU and many other things. In terms of performance comparison on the basis of its camshaft, Dodge Challenger SRT Demon lists 1,103 hp at the crank, after losing 15 percent of drivetrain capacity. Therefore, predictably this won't be a great status for Exorcist Camaro ZL1 to reach out.
All and all, what it seems to be that HPE's focus to crack down 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has not gone in the wrong way. Exorcist Camaro ZL1 may demonstrate better power than its closest competitor. Exorcist Camaro ZL1 would start at $55,000, on the other hands, Dodge's Challenger SRT Demon's price index is still a mystery.
