Apple is increasing the production of the 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro 2 to meet the goal of six million quantity at the end of 2017. Likewise, new more devices and OS versions will be introduced along with the rumored phasing out of iPad Mini.
The Mac Observer reported that Apple is increasing the production of the 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro 2 to ship the target quantity. The company plans to ship up to six million iPad Pro 2 at the end of 2017.
Apple is said to target 500,000 units of the 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro 2 per month, but now, the company has only reached 600,000 for March and April. According to ValueWalk, KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said earlier that there's a 70 percent chance that Apple would unveil the 10.5-inch model of the Apple iPad Pro 2 at the Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC.
Furthermore, the 10.5-inch model of the Apple iPad Pro 2 is said to have the same form factor as the 9.7-inch model of the iPad but with a bigger display. It will also have an all screen display and the fingerprint sensor will be embedded in the display while the home button will be eliminated. Reports claim that the 10.5-inch will be launched before the launching of the iPhone 8, but both will have an edge-to-edge display.
The specs of the Apple iPad Pro 2 10.5-inch model will include an A10X processor, 4K video recording, and a 12MP rear camera. Meanwhile, rumors claim that the Apple iPad Mini will be phased out because of the popularity of phablets. Customers are expected to buy an iPad Pro which is bigger than the iPad Mini that is slightly bigger than the Plus variant of iPhones.
Aside from the Apple iPad Pro 2 10.5-inch, Apple is expected to launch a Siri-based Amazon Echo competitor and new iMac models. More so, Apple is expected to reveal new versions of software such as watchOS, iOS, tvOS and MacOS.
