OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T OxygenOS Open Beta Includes Ambient Display 2.0, Lift Up Display

Good news for the users of OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones who are anticipating for the new OxygenOS Open Beta build. The beta update has started rolling out and it gives new features like Ambient display 2.0 and Lift up display.

In an article published in GSM Arena, the new OxygenOS Open Beta build for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones will receive the version 17 of the beta update for the first mentioned smartphone. The second smartphone mentioned will have the version 8 of the beta update.

Droid Life has reported in an article that the OxygenOS Open Beta includes several additions of functionality. Among the new features is a sharing functionality for Shot on OnePlus 3 and One Plus 3T.

Another additional feature by the OxygenOS Open Beta includes a new font for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, which would be available in English, Chinese, and Japanese only. Additional improvements for the beta update include the Ambient display 2.0 and a lift up display.

In terms of optimization, the OxygenOS Open Beta for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T includes enhancing the launch speed of third-party apps. It would also optimize the management of foreground and background releases.

The mobile user interference will also have some improvements under the OxygenOS Open Beta. With this update, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T would have improvements on the smartphone's gallery (Gallery v1.7), recorder (Recorder v1.6), weather (weather v1.7), file manager (File Manager v1.7) and other user interference refinements.

Other changes under the OxygenOS Open Beta includes an adjustment on setup wizard to suit the style of Android 7.1, refining contact import process from SIM card as it supports dual numbers an email address, and an automatic addition of corresponding country codes when making calls during roaming. OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will also have an updated Android Security Patch level to May 1, 2017, under the beta upgrade.
