The much-awaited Huawei Honor 9 is coming in a couple of days. Just as Huawei's latest smartphone is ready to hit the market, key specs of the said device are already leaking out online making some buzz on it. Aside from that, the device benchmarked scores show impressive performance against another top of the line smartphones according to a computing benchmark program.
Huawei or Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment provider and has been the largest manufacturer of telecommunication equipment since 2012. But lately, the company also entered the mobile phone industry and ventured on producing high-end gadgets such as smartphones, tablets and other consumer related products. Now, it is set to unveil its highly-anticipated device this year, the Huawei Honor 9.
Huawei Honor 9 is the tenth device on the Honor flagship series and the successor of the Honor 8. The success of the earlier models brings pressure to Huawei to packed the Honor 9 with an upgraded features. It appears that consumers will get what they expected as leak specs of the device reveal key specs of it.
According to XDA Developers, Huawei officially announced the Honor 9 smartphone that is expected to bring powerful hardware specification at a very reasonable price. Huawei Honor 9 will feature a 5.15-inch Full HD Display 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and will be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor just like the Mate 9 and P10 smartphones. It will also run using an Android 7.0 Nougat and will have 6GB of RAM with two internal storage option: 64GB or 128GB.
Huawei Honor 9 will also feature a 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel dual rear camera that comes with an 8-megapixel front camera and a 3,100mAh battery. The device size is 147.3 × 70.9 × 7.45mm and will only weigh around 155 grams (5.47 oz). Reports also say that the Honor 9 will be available for sale starting June 16, with Blue, Black, Gray, and Amber Gold as the color option and will cost around $340 up to $440.
Aside from a stacked specs, Huawei Honor 9 is doing good in terms of benchmarking score is concern. According to GSMArena, Honor 9 is third on the list based on the multi-core test conducted by GeekBench platform. It collected a 6519 benchmark score behinds Xiaomi Mi 6 (6719) and Galaxy S8 (6656).
Moreover, Huawei Honor 9 places fourth in the list in a single-core test with an 1865 tally, much better than the Xperia XZ Premium (1836) and LG G6 (1767). With great specs and better performance, many believed that it is definitely worth buying the device.
