It is no secret the today's fast-paced and technology-driven lifestyle has rendered society in an anxious fashion, with worries and conflicts found left and right. The demand for high-performance and an unrelenting work pace has driven an individual to think that even sleep is a luxury. This has prompted for PPG to come up with a relaxing color that could impart calmness and restful sleep. Experts say that using the Chinese Porcelain (PPG1160-6) paint shade would give the occupant of the room a spirit of hopefulness, something that society badly needs in today's restless world.

Schlotter added that the color brings a person closer to natural elements such as the seas and the vast sky, which creates a sense of serenity in a space.
In a survey, the PPG-owned technology platform, Paintzen, which allows consumers to browse through a wide array of colors, has revealed that the blue color family was given the most attention and preference by consumers. Blue has a 34% higher engagement, with neutrals only coming in second. The survey was concluded from data collected over the past six months.
Experts have regarded Chinese Porcelain as a hue that is rich and traditional at the same time. It is the perfect backdrop for emphasizing vivacious colors. The color professionals also suggest its use as a feature color in crisp white bedrooms to provide a contrast that is sharp and strong. If Chinese Porcelain shade is to be used for living rooms, experts suggest using tufted and velvet furniture coupled with metallic finishes for accent.
