A certain seven-year-old schoolboy has tragically lost his 49-year-old mother as well as his grandmother both to the coronavirus and is still waiting for his father, who still remains in the hospital fighting for his dear life. The friends of the family have been able to raise more than $11,000 USD for Evan Cadby, from Cardiff, while he is waiting for his father Chris to be discharged from the hospital.
The sad turn of events started when Joan the grandmother, aged 84, died from COVID-19 on April 11 four days before Julianne Cadby, aged 49, died at her own home on April 15.
The sudden passing of both the mother and grandmother
Julianne Cadby was reported to be a business manager for the Cadiff and Vale University Health Board's own specialist child and adolescent mental health service for about 16 years. The coronavirus has been ripping families apart in the United Kingdom with deaths from the virus reaching 14,576 while the number of confirmed cases are at 108,692.
A certain fundraiser Natalie Lloyd-Hughes has just recently set up what is known to be a JustGiving page in order to help the family. According to Natalie, when she heard about the awful news pf Julianne's passing, she had to do something.
Natalie said that she and a few other of Julianne's friends from school wanted to extend their help and try their best to provide for the family as much as they can asking people to "please dig as deep as your pockets will allow for this lovely family who have endured the worst possible loss."
The mother Julianne Cadby
The mother Julianne Cadby had been said to be working in the specialized service for a little over 16 years, but had already been with the health board for about 30 years, first starting as a medical secretary across a wide range of departments.
The health board has even released a statement saying that "It is with profound sadness that we must inform you that Julianne Cadby has passed away after testing positive for Covid-19."
The best bet for Evan Cadby is to wait for his dad who is still in recovery since there is no other direct relative around to watch over poor Evan. The seven year old schoolboy is still waiting for a miracle to happen to his father Chris.

The coronavirus and its reach around the world
This has not been the only instance where the coronavirus has done severe damage to a certain family. In fact, the coronavirus has already torn many families apart whereas some of them might be even more tragic than that of Evan Cadby's story.
Citizens are reminded to stay at home and avoid going outside unless absolutely necessary in order to prevent the risk of coronavirus infection from spreading more than it actually has.
