People in the United States are worried about the emergence of the New York COVID-19 variant which is said to be potentially more contagious. But in a recent interview, Dr. Anthony Fauci expressed that the normal life may be returning soon.
“I'm not absolutely, 100 percent certain,” Facui said according to Yahoo News, “there's a really good chance that we will do fine, at least in the immediate future.”
In an interview with GZero Media, Dr. Fauci told Ian Bremmer that "we are living through much of that worst nightmare." He even pointed out that the slope of COVID-19 cases is now decreasing week by week and day by day.
Apart from Dr. Fauci, Yahoo reported that health experts has been less pessimistic about a fourth wave coming and are more optimistic about getting things back to normal by summer.

How Can We End the Pandemic?
Although different variants of the coronavirus has emerged, Dr.Fauci said that the virus is sensitive to the vaccine but is very capable of spreading and transmitting. He also added that if there is enough vaccine for everyone, then the war between humans and the virus will soon be over.
To win this battle, Dr. Fauci said that there are two tools that are readily available. First is the availablity of the vaccines. Second is the basic public health measures that people should striclty follow which includes wearing of masks, avoiding close contact, avoiding congregate settings, and washing hands.
In an article, West Coast Correspondent of Yahoo, Andrew Romano said that the increase of cases between November and Feburary from 9 million to 26 million means that more people are getting immune to the virus. Coronavirus cases has decreased by 15to 20 percent per week in Los Angeles County and Miami-Dade County wherein the population that was infected is at 35% and 5% respectively.
However, Bloomberg's "Vaccine Tracker" database shows that the pandemic will end in seven years. This is based on the data of vaccination around the world.
