A type of green tea, Matcha, may provide a stronger effect. It is a powdered green tea that's rich in antioxidants, not to mention, it has a lot of health benefits for both the mind and the body.
Essentially, Matcha tea was discovered to significantly reduce cancer proliferation rates in research carried out by the Biomedical Research Center at the University of Salford, Daily Express reported.
The findings came from a series of studies on breast cancer cell lines using metabolic phenotyping. According to Professor of Translational Medicine Doctor Michael Lisanti, Matcha green tea is a natural product consumed as a dietary supplement with great potential for a range of treatments. Nevertheless, such a molecular mechanism underpinning everything remains largely unknown.
Lisanti explained that the tea is suppressing oxidative mitochondrial metabolism, which means it is preventing the cells from refueling, leading them to become interactive and eventually die.
The active ingredients of Matcha had a surgical impact in knocking out some signaling pathways in the breast cancer cells of humans.
Matcha Tea's Substantial Therapeutic Potential
The study findings support such a hypothesis that Matcha has a substantial therapeutic potential by intermediating "cancer cell metabolic reprogramming."
Essentially, green tea has been found to have life-prolonging agents by supporting an individual's immune system.
This is because the cancer-fighting properties of green tea have been observed in various other illnesses.
The cholesterol-lowering drink's potent antioxidants can help prevent various illnesses or disorders, including osteoporosis, heart ailment, and other chronic diseases. One condition that Matcha tea greatly benefits is high cholesterol.
Lowers Cholesterol
Matcha tea is a distinctive source of catechin, a dominant or potent antioxidant that flaunts a great range of health benefits.
Studies have presented that such molecules could considerably lower cholesterol and the risk of heart diseases. Specifically, one study that came out in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition proposed that on top of lowering general cholesterol levels, green tea catechins notably lowered LDL cholesterol.
The research published in the Journal of Nutritional Science in Vitaminology was carried out on rats. Describing their findings, researchers noted that the results show that tea catechin is exerting a hypocholesterolemic impact in rats fed with cholesterol; Wealth Creation Investing specified in a similar report.
The study authors analyzed such processes more thoroughly and found that catechins inhibit cholesterol absorption in the small intestine.
Lastly, other findings have proposed that the antioxidant lessens LDL concentrations by up-regulating LDL receptors.
