Kangaroos are strong animals with impressively muscular bodies, especially the male ones. These marsupials can carry their young in their pouch and jump. They are the largest hopping animal in the world. People are usually warned against getting near them to avoid confrontation.

In a report from Daily Star, people online are in awe of the video of a jacked kangaroo that seems to be trying to impress its visitors with its jacked arms. According to the people, the animal looked like it never skipped an arm day in its life because of its bodybuilder-like physique.

Jacked Kangaroo Displays Buff Arms

In a video posted on Reddit, two wildlife workers visited the kangaroo and it seemingly tried to impress them by flexing its muscles. The animal flexed its arms the way a bodybuilder does to show off its muscular physique displaying its arms with veins popping out of them.

"Man, you are a big kangaroo," one wildlife worker says as a matter of fact. "Those are strong arms."

The video started with the kangaroo shaking a visitor's hands but suddenly grabbing it and appearing to wind up for a kick, which shocked Reddit users, LadBible reported. One user noted that kangaroos are strong animals, and one would not want to be on the wrong side in their presence.

These animals certainly enjoy luring people into a false sense of security before attacking them. But as to why they have muscular bodies, one user explained that these are usually the old male kangaroos that get jacked arms. As kangaroos get older, it becomes harder for them to hop on two feet to support their weight, so they use their arms while rooting and making their motion like push-ups.

People are generally amazed and creeped out by these jumping mammals every time a video about them goes viral, showing their strength and dominating nature.

Reasons Why Kangaroos Are So Buff

Muscular kangaroos enjoy a dominant position in the animal kingdom and many envy them. According to Wild Explained, one of the reasons they are so buff is due to their genetics. These animals use their two forelimbs and two hindlimbs with a muscular tail to move in many different ways.

The tail is often referred to as their third leg with similar power to their hind legs combined, which they use to balance when standing upright. They also have large hearts that are essential for animals with big muscles.

Studies have shown that muscular animals have three times the greater oxidative capacity of muscles than inactive animals with smaller body mass. Additionally, they also have higher muscles and mitochondria similar to athletic humans.

Another reason for their muscular physique is their movement - they hop as a means of locomotion. Kangaroos use bipedal hopping to move about instead of using four limbs, as most animals do. They have powerful legs because of their flexible tendons, specialized for storing energy to jump.

Lastly, kangaroos need their muscular physique to attract females. Male kangaroos would box each other to show off and flex their muscles to attract females. Therefore, their muscles play a significant role in their mating process, and males never stop growing to assert their mating dominance even as they get older.
