An automobile specialist developed a new concept design seemingly taken out of the movies. The assembly of the off-road car was led by Connery Xu. The futuristic vehicle's main feature is its wheels can twist autonomously through a specialized suspension system.
Almost half of this car concept's body parts could twist while moving. This superb feature allows an efficient travel time and lets its users travel across environments with extreme terrains.
Despite the car being revealed to the public, Xu's team did not relay any dates regarding its expected release.
Connery Xu's The Huntress
Automobile designer Connery Xu recently unveiled a concept car dubbed 'The Huntress.' This vehicle is an electric-powered off-road car that has features close to what we see from fictional engines that transform into robots.
The vehicle was presented in its all-white color, adding touch to its modern curves.
The Huntress has an independent suspension system that allows each of its wheels to move autonomously. The car's controls could also manage the wheels to move depending on the driver's desired terrains, whether it be uneven or extremely bumpy roads.
The two-seater concept car could also twist half of its body when needed. The frontal chassis of the vehicle contains separate wheel suspension systems and headlights that make the part function as a single unit when independent movements are required.
There are still no reports about the physical development of The Huntress. However, the concept design gained the attention of car enthusiasts, competitors, and even some experts from the robotic industry.
The headlights of this all-terrain car were built with a unique design and a program that works together with the independent wheels in front. Whenever the vehicle is driven in a remote area or under intense weather, the rotating headlights could provide sufficient luminance to allow the user to see the road more clearly than other lights installed in conventional ground cars.
According to the designer sketch released by Xu, the one-wheel unit of the car could move horizontally as far as 180 degrees.
Age of Futuristic Cars
The electric-powered engine of The Huntress is enclosed at the rear of the vehicle. The spare tires could also be found in between the two rear wheels.
Last month, the automobile giant Hyundai released a separate concept design of their own 'walking car.' Daily Mail reports that the vehicle's development costs a staggering $20 million.
This walking roadster, called Elevate, was assembled in partnership with the company's New Horizon Studio (NHS). Located in Montana, the firm specializes in creating beneficial car designs that would make drivers travel across various environments and could surpass the capabilities of the traditional wheeled vehicles available today.
Hyundai's walking car was constructed as part of the company's larger project, the Ultimate Mobility Vehicle or UMVs.
