Genital warts are a highly contagious disease which is caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). This disease can be easily transmitted from one person to another by sexual contact. These warts are bumps of different sizes which are often soft and pink. Genital warts are more common in women than in men, and they usually affect area around cervix and vagina. In men they can occur on the tip of the penis. There are some vaccines available for HPV that can prevent infections from HPV and save people from getting genital warts.
Signs And Symptoms:
An infected person can get a single genital wart or many genital warts. The size of genital warts also varies from person to person. They usually range from 1 to 5 mm in size but sometimes they can enlarge to a massive extent. The color of genital warts can also vary from person to person as they can be grey, pink or white in color. Usually they are soft but sometimes they are also hard. Genital warts can bleed sometimes especially during sexual intercourse. Otherwise they are painless bumps of cauliflower like appearance.

These warts can be found in the following affected areas:
In females:
- Vagina (Internal Genital)
- Vulva (external genital)
- Groin
- Cervix
In males:
- Penis
- Thigh
- Groin
- Scrotum
In males and females Both:
- In external or internal anus after having anal sex with an infected person
- In the oral cavity like throat or mouth after having oral sex with an infected person.
