Artificial intelligence has been seen to offer endless possibilities in this rapidly advancing age. Now, thanks to this technology, individuals can get a grim glimpse of what things may seem if a nuclear war were to take place.

The Sun reports that an AI tool was able to come up with some grim images that could show how the future would look like in the face of a nuclear war. These images were generated in response to prompts including "apocalypse," "war," and "nuclear bomb."

Futuristic Nuclear War Snaps Generated by AI

According to the UK Daily News, the images reflected cityscapes that are destroyed and burning due to presumed nuclear fire. Amidst these ruins are soldiers who look tired and grim. In some of the images, these soldiers also move amidst the landscapes as aircraft fly above them.

Aside from this, the sight of mushrooming clouds can also be seen to rise over such landscapes. These include the ones by the Capitol building of the US within Washington. On top of this, there are also large fireballs falling over cities succumbing to fire in what could be a probable nuclear attack.

Machines that look unusual also push forward. Such equipment is what the AI envisioned to be futuristic weapons.

Yet another image reflects how Regent Street or Oxford may look like should it be left to its total devastation and ruin.

Other photos also reflected numerous individuals looking helpless amidst their broken, devastated, and unidentifiable surroundings. There are rubble piles that surround these individuals as they move through what could have been a skyscraper.

Moreover, when the AI was asked about its thoughts about the earth's last man, it came up with isolated figures carrying on amidst the grim scapes.

When AI technology was also given a prompt regarding what may happen to London, it came up with what seems to be the Houses of Parliament and the Big Ben.

What Would Happen If a Nuclear War Took Place?

Given the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, it is no wonder how fears and thoughts regarding a nuclear war have resurfaced. According to Euro News, scientists have thought of the effects of potential nuclear war situations. Their findings were included in the Nature Food publication.

For one, the soot that is from the explosion would lead to climate disruptions. Huge quantities of soot will get added to the top atmosphere and lead to rapid spread and cooling of the planet. This, in turn, would affect the climate of the earth and resultantly affect the production of food across land and sea.

Upon analyzing the effects of six possible scenarios of nuclear war, researchers saw how it would lead to various soot amounts injected into the atmosphere. This may lead temperatures to drop to a range of one to sixteen degrees Celsius.

According to study author Alan Roboc, the banning of nuclear weapons would be the only way to address the issue in the long-term.
