Alcohol if taken, in small quantities, can be tolerated by the human system, but as with everything else humans have a tendency to either binge drink on it or act rationally when it comes to alcohol. Things can take a more serious turn now that the Federal Agency has given approval to a powdered form of alcohol that can be mixed in drinks.
The ramifications of the introduction of such a thing will have far reaching consequences. The blatant misuse of it can happen in many forms such as it will be easier to sneak alcohol into public places, misuse by children and several other dangerous possibilities. The powdered alcohol is called Palcohol, and four different types of Palcohol have been approved by the Federal Agency.
But the developers are insistent to get approved "Lemondrop" type too. So what actually Palcohol is? It is actually rum, vodka and three cocktails with surprisingly the same alcoholic content. Palcohol is owned by a private company named Lipsmark and it intends to put it to sale this summer. But there have been rounds of controversy surrounding its release. With many states already on the move towards banning it, it remains to be seen how Palcohol intends to carve out a niche for itself in the market.
Palcohol has been developed by an avid hiker and camper named Mark Phillips, who wanted to develop a mature adult drink that could be taken to relax after extensive physical activities and easier to keep too. Palcohol will come in a pouch that will be transitioned to a standard drink after mixing required amount of water.
Palcohol will be sold and can be bought just like other liquors, but only by adults and in places where alcohol is legalized. It will be available in the United States and abroad too. Moreover, it can be bought online too. How is it going to change the liquor industry? The answer is unclear now but rest assured we will find out soon enough
