Living With Diphallia: Man With Two Penises Shares the Experience of Having a Pair of Male Genitalia

In humans, having an extra appendage or an external part protruding from the body is not rare. There are reported cases of people born with an 11th finger or a third nipple. Meanwhile, there are rare cases where a man was born with a second penis.

Living With Two Penises

A truck driver from Los Angeles named Tank shares his experience of living with two functioning penises. He suffered from a medical condition known as diphallia, a rare genetic abnormality that affects less than 1,000 men across the U.S.

Although this condition is scarce, Tank revealed several family members also possess strange genitalia. For instance, his uncle is also born with diphallia while his father has large pair of testicles as big as a bull.

Tank was sent to a juvenile detention center at 12 when he was convicted of manslaughter. He remained a virgin until age 24, when he was released from custody. After obtaining freedom, he made most of his extra members and enjoyed an unusual sex life.

In a video interview on the YouTube show Soft White Underbelly, Tank revealed that women did not believe him when he told them he had two penises, so he took them to a room to see. He said he would ejaculate from both organs simultaneously, even if only one were stimulated. The truck driver also admits that some women enjoyed the feeling when both his penises are inside them simultaneously, including one woman hooked on the sensation. This woman even had threesomes after their breakup because she could no longer get satisfied with a single penis.

Despite the unusual pleasure brought by his additional appendage, Tank explained that the extra member has proved problematic in the bedroom. He described the difficulty of having sex with only one of his organs at a time, while using them both could also be painful for most of his lovers. Because of this, the truck driver decided to get surgery to avoid hurting some women. Today, Tank has only one penis and has no regrets about his decision.

The first recorded case of a man with two penises was in 1609, and since then, there have been very few references about this medical condition outside the scientific community. Meanwhile, Tank is not the first to speak about his strange situation. A man known only by his username DoubleDickDude did a Reddit AMA where he answered some of the most frequently asked questions about his experience of having multiple members. The man, who decided not to disclose his identity, self-published "Double Header: My Life With Two Penises."

What is Diphallia?

Diphallia refers to a non-syndromic, urogenital tract malformation that is characterized by penile duplication. As a congenital genetic condition, it is caused by hereditary factors which are out of control.

It is a rare genetic condition present at birth in which a man has two genitalia. It was first written in a medical report in 1609 by the Swiss doctor Johannes Jacob Wecker when he encountered a corpse exhibiting this condition. Diphallia affects only 1 out of 5-6 million males, and only 100 cases have been recorded since it was first recognized 400 years ago.

Having two penises is not considered dangerous. However, it is associated with other conditions that can lead to other medical problems. Men suffering from diphallia also tend to experience congenital disabilities such as digestive and urinary tract problems.

Currently, experts do not have enough available cases to make definitive statements. There is no single factor that contributes to the likelihood of acquiring this condition, nor are there precautions pregnant mothers should take.
