Pyramid-Shaped UFO Debate: Pentagon Confirms UAP; Expert Debunks Claim

A pyramid-shaped UFO was caught on camera by a Navy personnel, and the clip leaked in 2019. Pentagon confirmed it was real, but another expert debunked it.

Pentagon Confirmed Pyramid-Shaped UFO

Leaked videos of UFOs soaring through the sky took the internet by storm in 2019. The Department of Defense (DOD) confirmed that the videos were legitimate.

A blurry video of a blinking, pyramid-shaped object that was taken in mid-flight sparked discussions about UFOs. Three more UAPs, including a "metallic blimp," a sphere-shaped object, and one that resembles an acorn, are visible in other photographs.

The recordings and pictures are a part of the Pentagon's "ongoing examinations" of UFOs, according to Pentagon spokesperson Sue Gough. The Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force was established by the Department of Defense in August to investigate such encounters.

As previously stated, DOD does not publicly discuss the details of the observations or the examinations of reported incursions into our training ranges or designated airspace, including those initially designated as UAP, Gough explained. She noted that it was done to maintain operations security and to avoid disclosing information that may be useful to potential adversaries.

The Navy reported multiple unidentifiable aircraft entering the designated airspace and military-controlled ranges that year.

Photos and videos of what many call UAPs or UFOs have been circulating in the past years. It resurfaced in 2021 when websites like Extraordinary Beliefs and MysteryWire brought it back.

Pyramid Shaped UFO Just a Plane

Meanwhile, renowned UFO investigator Mick West, the author of "Escaping the Rabbit Hole," wasn't convinced that the pyramid-shaped UFO was as it seemed. Instead, he said that it was a plane because it matched one.

The UFO had three flashing lights while hovering over the USS Russell. In his opinion, the flashing lights were similar to FAA-compliant lights on regular planes because they were not flashing regularly.

West insisted that we must stick with the most straightforward answer, and in such case, it was a plane because it behaved and moved like one.

He added that the flashes of light were a little bit erratic. Still, it reportedly reminded him of a plane's flashing lights, so he looked into it and discovered that some planes indeed have a series of lights with a long sequence superimposed by a short sequence.

William Shatner Reacts to UFO Hearing

In July, a hearing was held on Capitol Hill where witnesses and whistleblowers vehemently asserted that the government withholds knowledge on extraterrestrial intelligence from the general public. True believers and doubters alike expressed their ideas in no uncertain terms.

Star Trek alum William Shatner shared his thoughts about the issue. He didn't mince his words calling it "ridiculous."

He wasn't convinced advanced extraterrestrial civilizations from 10,000 light-years away would visit our planet and hide. He claimed that keeping a low profile makes little sense for highly intelligent humans.
