Terminator Genisys Rumors and Plot: Film to Be Start of New 'Terminator' Trilogy

With the copy of the "Terminator: Genisys" script leaked last month, fans all over the world have got a detailed impression of what is coming. The International Business Times reported that with a cliff-hanger to wrap it up, the new Terminator: Genisys is going to be lot funnier than its previous parts.

According to a review posted by the Terminator Fans, the script of Terminator: Genisys looks fast and speedy. Further the script appears to be very visual, looking at the description of the action scenes written. The new villain in the Terminator is also said to be more advanced as compared with the previous ones.

The website alleged that the Genisys is not going to be a sequel of the previous terminator films. It also further quoted that "Genisys is just a taster, it sets up the characters, introduces us to the new timeline while still effectively leaving the first movie untouched, The Terminator (1984) did happen and is left untouched in our hearts."

This report was also confirmed by a Skydance executive. He told the IGN that the Genisys is not a traditional remake or a continuation and sequel and neither is it a reboot. It is just follows the logic of J.J. Abram's Star Trek.

Alan Taylor, director of the Terminator: Genisys said that Genisys is going to be the start of a new "Terminator" trilogy and the template of the story will be "Terminator" and "T2". He praised the first two films for their simplicity.

He also further explained "The first film was a love story; it was also a horror film. The second one was a father/son story, but it was also a beautifully built thriller. The fact that he's taking a solid genre and putting powerful family stuff into it is the challenge we're trying to rise to."

Terminator: Genisys will hit the big screens on June 25, 2015. Actors starring are Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as John Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese and Arnold Schwarzenegger as T-800.
