Releasing Wolves in Urban Areas Will Solve Homelessness Problem, Says Rep. Don Young

"Wouldn't have a homeless problem anymore" said Don Young (R), a representative of Alaska, on letting wolves loose in urban districts. Don Young is renowned for his sarcastic remarks and grumpy nature.

Don Young made the comment on Thursday during a House Natural Resources Committee hearing on Interior Secretary Sally Jewell's agency's budget. He, after an argument of five minutes suggested that if wolves were let loose in the urban district then their homelessness problem will be solved. Along with his comments on wolves, Don Young even indicted Interior Secretary Sally Jewell and her department of the Interior for taking decision without discussing or taking opinion of the states they'd have an effect on.

Further Don Young recommends that grey wolves must be removed from the list of endangered species and explicitly ridiculed a letter sent to Interior Secretary Sally Jewell persuading her to increase the protection of the grey wolves, by 79 members of congress.

He mocked "How many of you have got wolves in your district? None. None. Not one."

"They haven't got a damn wolf in their whole district. I'd like to introduce them in your district. If I introduced them in your district, you wouldn't have a homeless problem anymore" he added.

It is legal to hunt wolves in Alaska according to Sarah Palin.

"Analogy was purposely hyperbolic to stress the point that these predators pose serious threats to wildlife management and their listing has damaging impacts to local communities" said a spokesperson for Representative Young.
