A pair of UFOs was spotted above an oil rig off Mexico's coast, where locals claim a secret underwater alien base resides. A crew member near Tampico captured two images, one showing a saucer-shaped craft circling the base, the other a triangular design with three lights.

The witness reported the UFOs hovering for approximately 10 minutes before disappearing suddenly, according to sources. Residents of Tampico believe the alien base has protected them from hurricanes for over 50 years.

UFO Sightings and Alleged Military Secrets in Tampico

The images were taken in October 2023 by an oil rigger known as 'Pat,' who received them from a colleague stationed in Tampico. Pat relayed the account of the sighting, explaining that the unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) appeared while the oil rig's support legs were being lowered into the seabed.

According to Pat, the saucer-shaped object captured in one of the images appeared to hover above the rig, illuminated by several lights encircling its base. Another photograph revealed a triangular craft with three lights positioned at its base, prompting speculation that it might be the fabled SR 91 Aurora, rumored to have been developed by the US government in the 1980s.

The triangular craft's design, resembling the alleged SR 91 Aurora, has sparked intrigue, although there is no concrete evidence supporting this theory. Despite speculation, it remains uncertain whether the captured image truly depicts the secretive military aircraft. Upon arriving in Tampico, Pat encountered locals who held strong beliefs in an underwater alien base named Amupac.

Mysteries of Amupac: Guardians from the Depths and the Enduring Legend of Tampico

As per the local lore, extraterrestrial beings residing within this submerged base have served as protectors, shielding the area from natural disasters since 1967.

The legend of Amupac traces back to a 1967 article published in the local El Sol de Tampico newspaper, titled "Platillos Voladores Sobre Tampico," or "Flying Saucers Over Tampico." The article reported numerous sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) witnessed by thousands of inhabitants.

It even cited accounts from the local airport's control tower officer, who allegedly spotted nine unidentified objects in the sky. This historical event contributed to the longstanding belief among Tampico's residents in the existence of extraterrestrial visitors and their protective role.

Pat's discovery of the locals' beliefs was a revelation, prompting discussions with a liaison between his rig and the neighboring community. This dialogue led to the transmission of the UFO images. The submerged base, said to lie a few miles off Miramar Beach, has become ingrained in the collective consciousness of nearby communities, credited with warding off hurricanes and other calamities over the years.

Despite skepticism surrounding the existence of Amupac, its mythos persists as a testament to the enduring fascination with the unknown and the inexplicable in the region.

Pentagon Report Challenges UFO Claims

Even with UAP sightings that have been reported in the past decades, a recent Pentagon report  says there is no verifiable evidene of a UFO sighting in the US. The report delves into the historical engagement of the U.S. government with UAPs, attributing the surge in reported UFO sightings since 1945 to American experimental technologies in aerospace and defense, such as stealth technologies and drones.

Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon's press secretary, highlighted that investigations at various security clearance levels determined that the majority of sightings were mere misinterpretations of everyday objects and occurrences. The report frames the increase in UFO sightings between the 1940s and 1960s within the context of intensified development of experimental technologies amid World War II and the Cold War.
