Treating Peyronie's Disease and ED with Himplant

Peyronie's Disease and ED

Peyronie's disease is a condition in which scar tissue is formed in the deep tissue under the penis' skin. The disease is fairly common in the U.S., with as many as 11% of men suffering from it. It's estimated that numbers may be higher due to underreporting. 

On the other hand, ED is a common side effect of radical prostatectomy. Those who suffered from Peyronie's disease reported increased flaccid length and girth and improved appearance of the penis. The FDA clearances and positive results of the studies are a welcome development for those who suffer from either of the two conditions. 

Notably, Himplant isn't the only solution on the market. Before this, medicinal and surgical treatments existed for both conditions. However, men who received these treatments were often unsatisfied because they failed to provide a long-lasting solution. Additionally, in the case of penile prosthesis, also known as IPP, for the treatment of ED patients, the procedure required was very invasive and non-reversible, necessitating an extensive recovery period.

What Is Himplant?

Made from medical-grade silicone, Himplant is inserted through a high scrotal incision and comes in various sizes, such as L, XL, and XXL. From initial consultations to recovery, the whole process can take several weeks.

Though the procedure itself typically takes about an hour, it typically requires one to two months of recovery. Patients are prohibited from engaging in any sexual activity during this time.
