Keith Borum got the best day of his life as he tied the knot with the love of his life, Nina Scott. But if you think this is just your ordinary wedding, the wedding was a tear-jerking moment as the couple tied the knot while Keith was bedridden at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, New York.
Borum has been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for around 18 months now. Doctors, however, diagnosed Borum's condition as already terminal. He was earlier rushed to the emergency room and it was there that doctors found out that a cancerous mass developed on his abdomen.
Borum told hospital staff that he actually wanted to save enough money so he could give Nina, his girlfriend of three years, a nice wedding.
The nurses and other medical staff eventually decided to be Borum's angels, so they decided to add a little touch of inspiration to the wedding by donating flowers, cake and rings.
"The whole thing was great. I don't know what my favourite moment was," Nina said.
"I couldn't imagine how great it could be or would be. The staff just outdid themselves ... We couldn't have done it no better," she continued.
The wedding day proven to lighten up Keith's rather embattled spirit. He was actually able to say without hesitation that it was the "the best day of my life."
But on his wedding day Borum was back to his playful self when he was spotted stealing his new wife's sunglasses and wearing them as a joke.
The couple looked very happy and after saying the much-awaited I do, the couple shared a kiss that closed their lovely deal.
"I believe everyone can see the love. It's not hard to see" Sheryl Yates, Nine's sister, said.
