The giant social network company, Facebook, is entering full force into the eCommerce industry. Adding Shopping features to its News feed, allowing people to go shopping without logging out their account.

The company highlighted some of its preview efforts that include a new way of browsing products and an expanded shop section. However, the last time the company tried to introduce eCommerce on Facebook, it has been received negatively by the public in 2011 and 2012.

Facebook is currently testing their two new features on the social media site, while there are two additions that enable the customer to purchase within the mobile application. The first one is referred to as Canvas, which turns the typical ads into an impressive one. When the customer clicks the advertisement, it has the capability to launch a new page in which the user could choose a product without going to the seller's website. The second one is the Shopping feed, which displays the participating brands and merchandise in the Shop section of Facebook.

The company has stated that it builds products that are useful for their eCommerce partners to grow, monetize and build their apps - incorporating Facebook platform products into driving sign-ups that the process converts users into customers for greater revenue.

Since most of the internet use now is done through phones and tablets, Facebook is developing their way using the mobile app as a window for online shopping. However, the percentage of using mobile in shopping is just two, according to eMarketer.

Facebook stated that its test for shopping section will act as the single place for people to discover, share and purchase products. It may even soon to be expected that searching for products in the social media site will allow the user to browse a product in fast-loading full-screen experience.
