Frogs Can Kill H1N1 Flu Viruses With The Peptide From Their Slimy Mucus

Scientists found host defense peptide of small indian frog named Hydrophylax bahuvistara can kill flu virus by disabling their flu strains. Researchers named this peptide as "Urumin" which deactivates the hemagglutinin protein that helps virus to breach into cells.

Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS)/Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) rescued 44 fertile eggs of Burmese roofed turtle from the nesting site of Chindwin River in Myanmar. The species is classified as the endangered species by WCS and there are only five females left in the wild.
