OnePlus and Oppo devices are among the well-known brand of smartphones in the market today. Latest news is now saying that there is a simple step on how to perform its hardware diagnostic test for users who are interested in accessing the feature.
For the past years, numerous and different kinds of high-end devices specifically smartphones and tablets have released in the market. All of it has different types of variation and features but they all have one thing in common. All have undergone hardware and software diagnostic test before it was launched by its manufacturers.
Brands like OnePlus and Oppo, two of the famous Chinese manufactured smartphones, who have gone through extensive analytic trial from its production, appears to have the simplest steps to perform its hardware diagnostic test. But the device must have the latest OxygenOS beta update to execute it.
According to XDA Developers, OnePlus and Oppo devices users will have the opportunity to access its "hidden" hardware diagnostic test through the OxygenOS software. By keying "*#808#" on the device dialer, a page of the complete diagnostic test will be presented and users will choose the test it wants to perform.
Meanwhile by typing "*#80X#" will bring users directly to the preferred individual test they want to complete by replacing the "X" in the code above. Some of its hardware tests include hardware keys, headset plug, charger, proximity sensor, GPS, and others. OnePlus model 3 and 3T and most Oppo devices with OxygenOS beta update software will access the hardware diagnostic test.
Android Headlines further added that individual apps like Nova Launcher, Tasker and Action Launcher 3 will have the chance to append shortcut to these tests via Activities Launcher. Users will have to go to Widgets click Activities and choose the EngineerMode. But aside from OnePlus and Oppo devices, Motorola's Nexus 6 could also get the shortcut due to its link with OxygenOS software.
Diagnostic tests to other devices are not new after all as Samsung have earlier revealed dialer codes *#0*# for testing mode purposes. One familiar dialer code that's being used is *#*#4636#*#* which allows users change some settings, perform the basic diagnostic test and modify the network settings.
