New Report Claims iPhone 7s Will Have Ion-X Glass Display On The Back

The upcoming iPhone from Apple for 2017 is expected to be totally revamped in its hardware and the general design of the smartphone itself. Rumors from various sources point out to a similar set of things like wireless charging, a new totally hardware free display on the front, display-embedded fingerprint sensor etc. But what today's reports reveal about the iPhone 7s, is something that most of the Apple fans wouldn't have really expected to learn about.

As reported earlier, Apple will be releasing not just two, but three smartphones. With the first two being the likely successors of the existing iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 plus, the third new device this year is still secretive for some more time. However, the majority of the internet believes it is the iPhone 8. Details from MacRumours reveal photos have surfaced online hinting the type of display that's expected to be implemented on the iPhone 7s, the successor to the aforementioned smartphone from Apple.

Popular Chinese social networking website is once again, the place of the leak revealing a photo of different panels behind a confidential paper related to Apple. A cutout of a single-lens camera on the back with that of a vertically-aligned LED flash suggests that the upcoming iPhone 7s would be sporting an Ion-X glass display that's currently seen in the Apple Watch wearable. Looking at the paperwork behind, even though it's mainly typed in what seems to be Mandarin, it's likely owners might be Apple's manufacturing partners like Foxconn or Pegatron.

The first line of the paper reveals a codename 'ACN79' that can be seen in this photo on SlashLeaks. While there's pretty much nothing else that's been disclosed to the public about the changes to the upcoming iPhone, there is a substantial change in the way Apple has opted for the hardware design for their upcoming smartphones like the iPhone 7s.

Meanwhile, the report also mentioned that the same panel would also make its way into the successor to the iPhone SE contrary to earlier claims by popular KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who has stated that the 4.5-inch smartphone would be the first and last from the Cupertino Giant. While earlier claims have predicted the three new smartphones to be the iPhone 7s, 7s Plus and the iPhone 8, the new rumor doesn't go hand in hand with all the previous claims on the internet.
