Alcatel is known for building relatively powerful phones at a reasonable price. Last year, they came with Idol 4S which make a good impact in the market. This year company is prepping for their latest flagship known as Idol 5 which they didn't share any information and release date yet.
However, there are some online sources that leaked few expected specifications for Alcatel's upcoming flagship. According to Digital trends, one of the sources named Geekbench showed a device believed to be Alcatel Idol 5. They also discussed the performance of the phone and what specs the phone will feature. Apart from this, a source named GFXBench previously leaked some info where a phone tagged as "Alcatel 6060".
GFXBench claimed the device with both a different processor and a different amount of RAM which seemingly contradict the new reports. For example, they represent MediaTek Helio P20 as a processor instead of Snapdragon 625. Similarly, they informed lesser RAM of 2GB instead of 3GB for Alcatel Idol 5. It's also possible that the device will launch with different variants of the Alcatel Idol 5. Additionally, this device is expected to get an updated Android Nougat 7.1.1.
Regarding this, Slashleaks reported two different models with slight changes in Model number. One of them is tagged as the Alcatel 6060S and the other is Alcatel 6060. According to the past, there have some possibilities where Alcatel may launch Idol 5S along with standard Alcatel Idol 5 version. It has been expected that the device seemingly comes with 32GB of storage capacity.
On May 3, 2017, Android headline reported about Idol 5 with respect to the source information from GFXBench. They informed that the phone is expected to come with a 12-MegaPixel rear-facing camera along with 8-Megapixel Front-facing shooter. However, it's very exciting to see which source information is ended after the official launch of Alcatel Idol 5. The company has confirmed that after the official launch, they will add more updates on this device.
