Latest leak reveals that OnePlus flagship smartphone for this year could match up against the recently released Samsung Galaxy S8 specs and features. OnePlus is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer that is establishing a name in the consumer electronics industry. For the past years, the company has managed to keep abreast with other giant tech company like Apple and Samsung in producing high-quality handset. And now, it is set to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5.
OnePlus 5 is the successor of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T who both made some good impression on its launch. Many expect that the upcoming OnePlus flagship handset will bring nothing less but more improvement and features. And now, latest leak reveal that the next-gen OnePlus smartphone could well match up with the Samsung Galaxy S8.
According to BGR, OnePlus 5 is one Android phone that could equal the specs and features of Samsung's own flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8. The incoming OnePlus handset allegedly will have the same attributes of the Samsung Galaxy S8 but the best part of it is it will be sold at a cheaper price.
Antutu benchmark just recently disclosed some of OnePlus 5 alleged major specifications on their website. OnePlus flagship handset reportedly will sport a Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM with a 64GB internal storage, Android 7.1.1 Nougat software and a 16-megapixel rear and front camera.
All features apparently match the Samsung Galaxy S8 specs except for the display where Samsung is using a 2K display technology. However, OnePlus 5 has more RAM and camera megapixel than the Galaxy S8 own 4GB RAM and rear (12MP) and front (8 MP) camera.
TechRadar further added that OnePlus 5 is ready to go head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy S8 specs and feature. Moreover, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone purportedly will also feature a dual lens camera on the back which the Galaxy S8 doesn't have.
But the biggest deal the consumers allegedly will get with the OnePlus 5 is it will be available for only $449.99 way more affordable than the Samsung Galaxy S8 $720 initial price tag. Speculations also have it that OnePlus flagship phone will come this summer but no exact launch date as of this moment.
