AMD is once again making a big and surprising move on this new era of technology. The Sunnyvale-based company formally introduces the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, tagged as the fastest graphic card coming in the market. How will AMD's newest graphic card product line match up with other existing graphic cards in the market today?
AMD is a multinational semiconductor company that designs and develops high-end computer processors and other related products that include a microprocessor, motherboard chipset and graphic cards for commercial and consumer markets. Last month, the company releases the latest Ryzen graphic processing units (GPU) and reportedly will follow it up with the Radeon RX Vega.
And now, it appears that AMD is not done yet on producing another set of a top-end graphic card in the market. And based on the leak specifications, reports are saying that the newest product from the giant Semicon company is the best graphic card to have been built today.
According to Digital Trends, AMD finally announced the first graphics card that was created under Vega architecture, the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition. The graphic card reportedly was built and design for "AI, creatives and science pioneers" of the world and not for the usual PC gaming support.
So what its difference to other ordinary and normal graphic cards in the market today? AMD revealed that the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition will feature 64 next-gen compute units that will produce 13 teraflops (TFLOPs) on a peak 32-bit computer performance as against Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti 11.3TFLOPs and Nvidia Titan Xp 12TFLOPs.
PC Perspective further added that the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition will run at a memory capacity of 16GB High Bandwidth Cache that can manage to operate at a 480 gigabytes per second (GBs/sec). Based on the leak images, it seems that AMD will have two variants of the said graphic card a liquid-cooled and air-cooled version.
AMD believed the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is "the world's most powerful solution for machine learning and advanced visualization". The "Frontier Edition" is also perfect for VR content that is vital for next-generation virtual reality experience and could modernized game design and performance optimization as well.
