The highly- anticipated Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is making a big buzz in the online news as of late. Leak specs for Xiaomi's upcoming smartphone have emerged and have been the talk of the town right now ahead of its "unexpected" release date. And an OLED display was seen listed as one of the smartphone's surprising feature.
Xiaomi is a private Chinese electronic company that designs, develops and sells hardware devices like smartphone and laptops and other consumer electronic products. One of the newest players in the tech industry, it has established a name of its own and was already listed as the world's fifth largest smartphone manufacturer in 2015. And now, the company is looking to unveil one of its flagship smartphone in the market, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is one of the much-awaited smartphones by consumers due to its rumored upgraded design and features. And it seems that speculation is true as leak specs for Xiaomi's upcoming smartphone have surfaced online.
According to TheAndroidSoul, specs of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 apparently leaks out on Xiaomi's own website, the Mi Max 2. Reports are saying that the company accidentally exposed the said smartphone briefly on its site but was immediately pulled down. But it was enough for snappers to take a screenshot of it and posted it online that has now gone viral.
Based on the leak specs, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will feature a Snapdragon 660 SoC processor which is an upgrade from the MediaTek chipset of the original Redmi Pro. The battery will also have improvement as it will carry a 4100mAh from the original Redmi Pro's 4050mAh. The smartphone is expected to be packed with a 3GB RAM but there's also speculation that it will have a 4GB and 6GB version as well.
NDTV further added that the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will also sport a 5.5-inch OLED display with a 1080p resolution. Xiaomi will also retain the dual rear camera setup for the Redmi Pro 2 together with its 16-megapixel sensor. How much does Xiaomi's Redmi Pro successor cost?
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is projected to have a price of 1,199 yuan (approximately Rs. 11,500). Aside from this, Xiaomi allegedly will also come up with a new pair of USB Type-C earphones that will cost of around 299 yuan (approximately Rs. 3,000). Sadly, there is still no confirmation on when the Redmi Pro 2 will be available in the market.
