Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 Accidentally Appeared on Mi.com Last Week

The specification and image of the Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 appeared last week on the company's website before being pulled down. The smartphone will be the latest flagship phone from the Chinese manufacturer.

The appearance of Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 was first spotted by GizmoChina last week. The phone was listed to be powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor with the 5.5 inch OLED display. The Xiaomi's decision to use Snapdragon 660 has annulled the previous speculation regarding its processor, which reported that RedMi Pro 2 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P25 SoC processor.

Snapdragon 660, which powered Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2, is the latest processor from Qualcomm. Introduced in the second week of May 2017. This processor is the answer from the American semiconductor company to its Taiwanese competitor, that launched Helio P25, with 16nm Octa-core processing last February. The Helio P25 is also equipped with MediaTek Imagiq, the top-notch Image Signal Processor (ISP) technology from the MediaTek.

At the first glimpse, it will be the best option for Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 to use Helio P25 processor. However, in term of scalability and affordability, it will be better to use Snapdragon 660 as the mid-end class processor.

In term of battery, Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 will be equipped with 4100mAh battery power. While for the camera, similar to its predecessors, Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 will have dual cameras, with a significant upgrade of the rear camera. The latest RedMi Pro series will have 16MP dual cameras, an upgrade from the dual 13MP on the Redmi Pro. This dual camera's feature is a unique selling point from Xiaomi, which is now followed by other manufacturers

Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 is predicted to be released with a price tag of CNY 1,199, or equal to $174, £134 and €156 according to GSM Arena. The device will have a 4GB of RAM and big storage of 64GB. Watch the predicted specifications of Xiaomi RedMi Pro 2 below:
