HMD Global’s recently announced smartphones last Mobile World Congress 2017 were reported to be already launched in multiple countries. As it was already released in the Philippines and Malaysia, the Nokia 3, 5 and 6 were said to be slated for release on June 13 in India.
According to Gadgets NDTV, the invite released by HMD Global for the India event in June 13 was captioned: “Let’s join hands and welcome a new era of Nokia smartphones.” It is then expected to be the release of the Nokia 3, 5 and 6 as the Nokia 3310 (2017) was already launched last mid of May in India.
Speaking of specifications, the Nokia 3 is stated to have a 5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720p) resolution. It is the most budget friendly among the three which comes with an 8-megapixel front and rear camera. The device is said to be powered by MediaTek MTK 6737 processor paired with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM.
The next Nokia device, Nokia 5 is mentioned to feature a 5-inch HD resolution display with a 13MP rear camera and a front camera of 8MP. The device is described to run on Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM and 16 GB ROM.
Meanwhile, the most powerful handset among the three is considered the Nokia 6 with a 5.5-inch LCD IPS display with full HD (1080p) resolution. It is defined to be the 16 MP rear sensor camera paired with a front camera of 8 MP megapixel. The flagship device of Nokia is also stated to have its 3GB RAM and 32 GB of built-in storage running on Snapdragon 430 SoC.
The battery juice of the Nokia 3, 5 and 6 was said to be 2650 mAh, 3000 mAh and 3000 mAh, respectively. Yet, all the three handsets were identified to run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and have an expandable storage up to 128 GB via microSD card. The smartphones were also announced to receive the upcoming Android update, Android O as it is made available already as reported by The Android Soul.
Nokia 3, 5, 6 and the new 3310 (2017) was said to be launched last June 8 in the Philippines already. The smartphones were priced at PHP 6990 ($140), PHP 9990($200), PHP 11990 ($240) respectively as the Nokia 3310 was said to cost PHP 2490 ($50). The locations were the devices will be sold was said to be revealed in HMD Global’s website and will have a 12-month warranty.
