As the OnePlus flagship device, OnePlus 5 was announced, people have been rampant about its global release scheduled on June 20. However, Chinese retail site Jingdong known as JD.com was reported to recently release a flash sale registration for those people who could luckily order the killer device.
According to Gadgets NDTV, the popular Chinese retail site, Jingdong has already released a registration page for Chinese residents who wants the OnePlus 5. The site has revealed that they are allowing the participants to be involved in a flash sale before the original launch date of the flagship phone, which is June 22.
With that said, the participants were mentioned to already reach over 160,000. Yet, the flash sale of the OnePlus 5 was said to enable participants in the registration to be lucky enough to order the handset as the sale on the site goes live. Rest assured, the Jingdong registration goes until next week.
Spec-wise, the OnePlus 5 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Of course, the beast device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with an octa-core 2.45GHz CPU and an Adreno 540 GPU. The battery juice is identified to be 3300mAh equipped with Dash Charge as reported by Android Headlines.
Aside from that, the OnePlus 5 is also noted to feature 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB of ROM. There were also rumors of the device offering different storage variants such as 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. The smartphone is also speculated to feature a dual-camera setup of 16MP and 20MP, which could also be seen with one sensor shooting in monochrome.
Nonetheless, it was given that the flash sale of Jingdong will happen on June 22 yet the release of the OnePlus 5 in India was slated to be launched in Mumbai on the same date as well. The price of the handset was said to be Rs. 32,999 for the normal variant as the 8GB RAM version would cost around Rs. 37,999. The OnePlus 5 was also said to offer color options of Black, Blue, Green, Red, and Purple.
