Motorola Has Finally Rolled Out The Android 7.1.1 Update To The Moto Z Handset

Lenovo owned Motorola has started releasing the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the owners of the Moto Z in Indonesia and Hong Kong. Motorola launched this handset in 2016.

Users of the Moto Z got the pre-installed Android 6.0 when they purchased this flagship device last year. Later the users got the Android 7.0 Nougat, and now they can update their handsets with the Android 7.1.1 Nougat. To install this latest update, the Motorola Moto Z users need to connect their handsets to a Wi-Fi network or strong cellular signal.

That means they can also avail LTE to have the Android 7.1.1 update in their Moto Z smartphone. According to Phone Arena, the battery of the said Motorola handset should have at least fifty percent charge before resuming the updating process. The new update includes a set of significant features. The first and the foremost is the July 2017 Security patch.

Apart from the security patch, the Android 7.1.1 update also brings Round icons, Duo Video calling app, and other important features. The Moto Z users could also avail the App shortcuts through this update. If any user of this Motorola handset has not yet received the software update notification, then he can acquire it manually.

Moto Z users can follow few simple steps to possess the Android 7.1.1 update. They need to go to the Settings, then About Phone and the last step is to click on the Software updates. The installation process in the Motorola handset will take only 10 to 15 minutes, and the device will be updated.

On the other hand, Android Police reported that Motorola is rolling out the Android 7.1.1 in Brazil. Users of the regular Moto Z handset and the Moto Z Play model now can have this latest update. Last month the Lenovo owned company released the same update for the Moto Z Play model in the U.S.

The Motorola Moto Z handset in Brazil will get the build number NPL26.118-20. But, the Moto Z Play model will have the build number NPN26.118-22. So it is quite clear that owners of the Moto Z in some countries have started receiving the Android 7.1.1 update.
