The use of CBD for medication has always be wrapped in a lot of concern. Though a lot of people say that CBD has helped them address what ails them. Trouble sleeping, internal inflammation CBD has been seen as a world-wide solution for a growing list of bacterial infection and all these claims have evidence to back them up.
During the 2019 American Society for Microbiology conference, Mark Blaskovich in his presentation talked about the fact that CBD has the capacity to target and kill several types of bacteria. Blaskovich is a senior researcher and chemist from the Institute of Molecular Bioscience from the University of Queensland. In his presentation, he also showed that CBD can also deal with a strain of bacteria that have become antibiotic-resistant. His research results have yet to be published.
The resistance of some bacteria strains to the existing antibiotic medications has been a growing concern among doctors and those involved in health care. In fact, the World Health Organization (WHO) has referred to this situation as a "global health crisis" as early as 2015. And recent studies also show that there are a number of antibiotic-resistant bacteria that lurks in hospitals, including the privacy curtains that help aid in fighting the spread of infections.
Blaskovich was working with a range of bacteria strains that could be treated with CBD. The list included Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumonia and Enterococcus faecalis -- of which can be the root for infections, diseases or both. He reported that in his experiment, CBD killed all the strains of the bacterial species. In fact, his report shows that CBD killed even those strains that have become immune to conventional antibiotics.
Furthermore, the study shows that CBD didn't induce possible antibiotic resistance to the bacteria he has tested. Though this particular finding still needs to be confirmed with more bacterial testing, for now, the results of the earlier reports are showing good promise how CBD can provide aid in fighting the "superbugs" that have become antibiotic-resistant.
At this point, it might be easier to make a list of the diseases that have not claimed to be cured by the use of CBD. It seems as if every new study released comes with a product endorsement saying that the CBD can do it all. Still, further research needs to be done to prove how truly helpful CPD is. The study of Blaskovich only proves that it is one more thing that is in favor of the CBD
