Have you heard of drones?
Of course you did!
People all over the world have been using drones in various activities including competitions, film making, newscasting, and personal drone flying.
But have you heard of drones delivering medicines?
In recent years, a California-based start-up company devised a means to deliver medicine to remote areas around the world. They are known as Zipline.
Zipline uses drones to provide medical help across the globe. The drones deliver vital medicine and emergency supplies. It can even deliver blood when necessary.
In 2016, the primary aim was to deliver blood in remote places. The sense of urgency was the driving force of Zipline in using drones to deliver bags of blood to places that are difficult to reach. They also deliver other medical needs such as platelets, cryoprecipitate, and frozen plasma.
In April 2019, these drones fly to provide not just blood, but medicines and vaccines as well. During this time, Zipline also started its operations in Ghana with 4 distribution centers. These centers cater to about 2,500 health facilities across Africa.
Over the last five years, Zipline has flown over 2 million kilometers to deliver medical necessities to those who need it the most. Although they fly around the Earth every seven days, they have saved many lives, and will continue on saving more lives!
No weather can stop them! Zipline flies through rain or shine. When you need help, Zipline is ready for take-off!
The goal of Zipline is simply to save lives!
Zipline builds its own drones to accomplish this goal. Their latest invention of drones can carry up to 2 kilograms. It can cover a roundtrip distance of up to 160 kilometers and it runs at 128 kmph.
Zipline continuously builds the world's most advanced and most reliable drones that can deliver your medical needs. They have grown to be the largest autonomous logistics network in the world. And they are operated by the most amazing team.
Zipline ensures efficient service through state-of-the-art technological designs. They perform extensive testing of drones to make sure that they bring Zipline to the entire planet.
Today, Zipline continues to amaze the world with more advanced and reliable drones. They are always ready to take off and save lives!
