Feast your eyes (and your mind) on these wildlife shows offered by BBC this holiday season. Here are the schedules for each day.
DECEMBER 21, 2019
By 6:45 PM, BBC Two will showcase Meet the Moose Family, a 54-minute feature from Natural World. Originally aired in April of 2016, Meet the Moose Family follows cameraman Hugo Kitching as he documents a family of moose in the Rocky Mountains while facing the threat of wild bears and wolves.
Speaking of bears, BBC Two will feature the episode Meet the Bears from Natural World, originally broadcasted in December of 2017. Meet the Bears tell the story of how these large animals able to adapt despite challenges for survival. The show is narrated by Kate Winslet.

Start your Sunday right by learning more about the Polar Bears in the Arctic and other animals native to the region with Snow Bears. Originally aired in December of 2017 and narrated by Kate Winslet, Snow Bears pulls on the heartstrings of the audience, it will air by 11:30 in the morning.

At 4 in the afternoon, the audience will be treated by BBC Two and BBC Scotland with the feature Florida: America's Animal Paradise, a 58-minute episode of Natural World. Florida: America's Animal Paradise showcases the lesser-known biodiversity. This episode originally aired in April this year and narrated by Paul McGann.

By 7:30 in the evening on the eve of Christmas, BBC Four presents The Last Igloo, narrated by Julius Nelson. The Last Igloo sheds light on one of the oldest human dwellings in history and how climate change threatens its existence. The documentary focuses on the typical day of an Inuit hunter in Greenland.

Celebrate Christmas with BBC One by 2:30 in the afternoon and discover the world of The Snail and the Whale, a 25-minute animated film featuring the narration by Diana Rigg and the voices of Sally Hawkins, Rob Brydon, and Cariad Lloyd. Avoid post-Christmas blues by lounging around and tuning in to BBC One by 12 noon. Spy in the Snow is an interesting innovation in the field wildlife documentation as the production team disguised the camera as the species they're filming. By 9 in the evening, BBC Two is featuring Paddington: The Man Behind the Bear and features a narration by Hugh Bonneville. Paddington: The Man Behind the Bear is a heartwarming documentary that shows how the bear became a big influence for generations of readers and fans across ages and walks of life.
