Tesla is US Engineering Students’ Most Attractive Employer

Universum, an employer branding specialist, recently released its list of the most attractive employers for the students of the United States in 2020.

Like in 2019, two of the ventures led by Elon Musk, Tesla and SpaceX, ranked as the most attractive firms for engineering students in the US, with the electric car manufacturer topping the list, and the private space company being ranked the second.

The 2020 results of Universum's report are generally in line with its findings in 2019 that listed SpaceX as the first, and Tesla, the second.

Interestingly, Tesla presently stands as the only car manufacturer in the Top 10 list of Universum among engineering students, along with Ford, the next carmaker being ranked 12th on the list. Meanwhile, fellow American automaker General Motors is being ranked No. 15.

Tesla, Choice of US Students From Different Fields

Aside from being the most attractive employer for engineering students in the US, Tesla ranks well, too, among business students.

As Universum noted, Tesla is positioned at No. 8 on the list, way far from other auto manufacturers such as Daimler, ranking 65th, Toyota at No. 80, and GM ranking 95th.

Furthermore, based on the report, Tesla is ranked No.5, too, as the "most attractive employer for computer science students."

Other manufacturers in a similar field, such as the BMW Group, ranks 51st while Toyota, at No. 60, are considerably lower on the employer branding specialist's list.

Previous reports have shown that Tesla is not known for being an easy business to work for. Quite the opposite, Musk, as the CEO, has reportedly been noted for his "ambitious targets for the firm," not to mention his high demands for the people working in his company.

Workplace For People With Creative Mind

Despite being infamous for being a company that's easy to work for, Tesla has been considered a workplace for people whose creative minds are being heard, according to TESLARATI, with "as little red tape as possible."

Student career-service app Handshake, previously noted in a research that the intense work culture of Tesla is actually one of the reasons why young and motivated job seekers see the company as an attractive workplace.

The ability to entice the most brilliant and creative minds is a huge strength for Tesla. For quite some time now, it has been the company's aim to achieve goals that are very ambitious, and it is boldly pursuing them, as well.

In addition, to succeed in its undertakings, there is a need for Tesla to be able to entice as many motivated, talented and creative employees.

Luckily, the company's combination of mission, the attraction of being a workplace that promotes creativity, and the existence of an ideal company leader in Musk, may well be a great combination to make sure that Tesla retains its strong workforce in the years yet to come.

The 2020 list of Universum of the most attractive employers in the US can now be viewed on its website and downloaded via SCRIBD.
